About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or struggling to cope with anxiety, low mood, or life with chronic illness or disability? Maybe you've been struggling with what it means to live life happily and well as a neurodiverse or disabled person.

If so, I'm really glad you have found your way here. Reaching out for support can be a big step.

I am a disabled and chronically ill counsellor with years of experience in supporting adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges; including anxiety, depression, burnout, and ADHD. While I work with people from all walks of life, my practice has a strong focus on supporting those who are neurodivergent, chronically ill, or disabled. You can learn more about my work here:

Living with a long-term health condition or navigating disability often comes with layers of emotional, physical, and practical difficulty that aren’t always visible or understood. This is an area especially close to my heart; not just professionally, but also personally. I understand how isolating, disorienting, and exhausting it can be to navigate life with a body that has different plans. Whether you're dealing with the uncertainty of not knowing what illness you are suffering from, or are trying to understand a new diagnosis, or managing daily life with ongoing symptoms, or simply trying to feel seen and heard in a world that often overlooks your experience, I'm here to offer support that truly honours your journey.

My approach is person-centred, which means I see you as the expert in your own life. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can bring your full self, whatever that looks like today. Sessions always move at your pace. There’s no pressure to talk about anything before you’re ready, and we can work gently, practically, or reflectively depending on what you need that day. Together, we can work through whatever you're carrying, whether it feels overwhelming or hard to put into words. My role is to walk alongside you with empathy, honesty, and deep respect. I can offer both directive counselling and non-directive, or a blend of both depending on what will most practically help you.

All my sessions are offered online or by phone, providing flexibility, comfort, and greater accessibility, especially for disabled clients and those managing fluctuating health or energy. You deserve support that fits into your life, not the other way around.

In addition to one-to-one counselling, I also share free resources through my website and my YouTube channel, Unwinding Minds. You can find them here: https://www.unwindingminds.co.uk

If you think we might be a good fit to work together, you’re very welcome to get in touch to ask questions or to book an initial consultation. There’s no pressure,  just a chance to see whether working together feels right for you.
