About me

As a qualified counsellor I have gained a wide range of diverse clinical experiences by working with clients who have suffered from various issues. A few examples of issues I have dealt with are anxiety, depression, addiction, work and study related issues, identity and cultural problems, abuse, eating disorders, low self-esteem.

I trained within the psychodynamic framework. This means that during our sessions we will work on identifying how your past experiences and past relationships have affected your current life and the issues you may be experiencing.

Our first meeting will help me to make an initial assessment of your situation and will also give you an opportunity to gain a sense of whether you feel comfortable with me in order for us to work together. This session will addtionally give you an opportunity to explore what you would like to gain from counselling and give us a chance to establish whether you would like to commit to a short-term or potentially an open-ended basis. This will ultimately be your decision and can naturally change over the course of therapy. It is important to me that your needs are met and your wishes respected.

During our work together, we will be establishing a therapeutic relationship which will hopefully enable you to open up to me and allow me to gain an understanding of who you are. If you do decide to go ahead with counselling sessions, we will start exploring in depth the issues and reasons that have brought you into therapy.

If you would like to book a session please feel free to contact me and I will aim to respond to you within 24 hours.
