About me
As a BACP-registered counsellor, I work with adults experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship breakdown and challenges with life transitions, neurodivergence and disability. I offer face to face sessions in Sutton, Surrey and online/ telephone sessions throughout the UK.
Prior to training as a counsellor, I spent over two decades supporting people living with neurodivergence and disability, and pursuing my long-standing interest in psychology and mental health.
I often work with clients who describe anxious, racing thoughts, feeling ‘on edge’ and brain fog that leaves them overwhelmed and exhausted. Coupled with battling the physical symptoms of anxiety, you, too, may be finding that your world has shrunk and life now revolves around avoiding triggers or a constant search for reassurance.
Perhaps you are feeling depressed, struggling to find joy in life and worn down by hopelessness. Feelings of depression can stretch in to all areas of life, creating difficulties in making decisions and concentration, even leaving you questioning the point in life.
Or, as a person who is neurodivergent, your struggles may centre around task management, restlessness or an inability to relax. Neurodiversity can make socialising tiring, confusing and even overwhelming. You may notice your challenges with your neurodiversity impacting all areas of life, from being misunderstood at work to difficulties in your relationships.
At the heart of my practice is Person Centred theory – the belief that you are the expert in your own life and that with the right tools and support, you can find your way forward. Secondary to this approach, I draw on Psychodynamic theory – exploring how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape the way you feel and behave today. Integrating these approaches means I can tailor an approach that is bespoke to you, supporting your needs, at your pace.
Whether it’s a greater understanding and acceptance of yourself, better relationships or a sense of stability or peace, I look forward to working with you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
