About me

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Psychological Society (BPS).

Whatever the challenges you may be experiencing, I strive to foster a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental space, where you feel able to talk freely about your experiences and process your feelings and thoughts.

I endeavour to support you to work towards personal growth, develop resilience and feel empowered to break free from recurring patterns, to create lasting meaningful change. I have a deep passion and commitment to enable people to feel heard, gain a better understanding of the self, identify your strengths and navigate life’s challenges.

Respecting each person’s individuality is crucial, as every person is unique and has encountered different life experiences. Through offering a compassionate, collaborative approach, my aim is to support you achieve your goals by creating a personalised treatment plan. This includes utilising a therapeutic approach which is tailored to address individual needs and goals. I therefore work using an integrative approach which brings together aspects of different therapies. I have experience of delivering a range of different therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic therapy, Person-centred Therapy, Systemic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and relational approaches including Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT).

My experience includes working within NHS mental health services, with a specialism in supporting adults experiencing complex and severe mental health difficulties, including personality disorders and psychosis. In addition, my experience have rendered me highly skilled to support individuals to address a range of difficulties including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, anger, interpersonal/relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, OCD, trauma, sleep difficulties, and bipolar disorder.

My identity as a British South Asian plays a big part of what inspired me to venture into the profession of counselling psychology; I have always maintained a curiosity with the complexity of the mind and the different cultural perceptions around mental health and psychological distress. Understanding the impact of aspects such as family systems, heritage and culture, and bringing a culturally informed perspective to my practice forms a core part of how I work.

I offer sessions either online (via Microsoft Teams or Zoom) or face-to-face, depending on your preference.
