We are relationship and family counselling specialists.
We have wide experience of working with a diverse range of individuals and couples, from those in crisis, to those exploring a new chapter in life.
We work inclusively and offer relationship counselling to all, whether you are married, living together, on your own, LBGTQIA+ or non-monogamous. Our role is to support and strengthen your relationship.
We work with a wide variety of problems, including communication difficulties, divorce, affairs, grief, issues of trust and self-esteem. These difficulties might reflect the wider family, cultural differences or changes in the relationship such as illness, retirement or a new baby.
We offer a safe, non-judgemental, empathic and confidential space where you can reflect on the relationships you wish to explore. We both work online and face-to-face.
Becky works in Bristol and Vix is in Bath.
Training, qualifications & experience
Becky and Vix are Relate-trained, qualified counsellors with Diplomas in Relationship and Family Counselling. We are both members of the BACP and undertake regular supervision and continuous professional development.
We both work alongside our private practice as Relationship Counsellors for Relate Avon, which is part of the UK's largest provider of relationship counselling and sex therapy.
Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
When you contact either of us we will schedule an Initial Assessment. This lasts for 50 minutes. We require you to complete a Client Counsellor Contract form and sign a Confidentiality Statement and Data Protection form before attending the Initial Assessment. We will discuss the most suitable therapy provision and how we can best help and support you.
