CBT, EMDR

About me

I have a genuine passion for understanding human thoughts, feelings, and

Hello, I am a CBT and EMDR psychotherapist. In my practice, I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR to offer a compassionate, structured and supportive space where clients can explore challenges and work towards meaningful personal goals.

Through an integrative approach, I have supported many clients experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, complex and diverse trauma, OCD, relationship and attachment issues, panic disorder, generalised anxiety, identity concerns, self‑esteem difficulties, parenting and family issues, workplace stress and bullying, and life transitions. I also have a particular interest in relationship dynamics such as co‑dependency, love addiction and intimacy‑related challenges.

Therapy can be a life‑changing process. There are moments in life when we recognise the need to confront difficult issues or make important changes, yet the path forward can feel overwhelming, confusing or emotionally heavy. During these times, having a strong therapeutic relationship can help you feel less alone and more able to move forward rather than feeling stuck.

My role is not to judge or tell you what to do. Instead, I aim to help you see your situation with greater clarity, strengthen your inner voice and reconnect with your own wisdom. Therapy is a collaborative journey, supporting you to discover a more authentic sense of self and a deeper sense of joy, purpose and direction.

I have worked within key organisations, including the NHS, alongside my private practice. I offer both short‑term, solution‑focused therapy and longer‑term, open‑ended work that allows for deeper exploration and lasting change.

I strive to create a safe, relaxed and non‑judgemental environment where clients can explore personal issues at their own pace. By increasing awareness of patterns, unresolved experiences and limiting beliefs, clients often find themselves moving toward healing, growth and transformation. My intuitive and empathic style helps clients feel understood and contained, while the insight gained through our work together supports renewed hope, resilience and a more integrated sense of self.

Further information

I am a South Asian woman, and this forms an important part of the perspective I bring to therapy. I understand the complexities that can arise when culture, religion, family expectations, and your own emotional needs feel as though they are pulling in different directions.

I recognise how challenging it can be to balance your role within your family and community while also nurturing your own wellbeing. This lived understanding allows me to offer a space that is culturally sensitive, compassionate, and grounded in the realities many clients face when navigating multiple identities and expectations.

I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to briefly discuss suitability for treatment and allow you the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.

Embarking on therapy for the first time, can certainly be a daunting process. Finding the right therapist is very important.

Having a chat over the phone offers you the chance to get a feel for me and my approach, so you can feel more at ease with the process before starting therapy. I look forward to hearing from you.
