Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Practice

About me

My name is Reece Needham, I qualified with a Level 4 Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling in 2021, and I’ve worked within the Occupational Health industry as a Technician for 9 years. Prior to this, a Personal Trainer for 4 years. More recently in the last 4 years alongside my full time Technician role and family life, I have voluntarily worked with bereaved people over telephone sessions. This work has been both difficult and extremely satisfying. Helping people on their journey through the grief process is truly a personal experience for every individual. I enjoy allowing people to find their own path through grief whilst progressing with their day-to-day lives. Grief is not something that disappears, moreover, something that we grow with. To be listened to is something we all wish on occasion, and I want to be the person able to listen and guide you.

There are three ways in which sessions can take place, including telephone, video call and face to face.

The sessions would last for 50 minutes and would be either weekly or every two weeks, depending on my professional opinion and the individual's feelings towards the work ahead.

I offer simple, straightforward ways of working together. Allowing tasks such as information gathering, contacting, and booking sessions to be as easy as possible. An initial free 30-minute session via telephone or video call will allow us to introduce ourselves and become more comfortable with the process. Any decisions made are in your hands with support from me.

I opened for client work from 1st May 2025. Please feel free to contact me to book your appointment or simply gain more information.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
