About me
'Life is not about finding yourself, it is about becoming yourself'.
Welcome to 'Becoming', my name is Rebekah. I offer compassionate space to explore, grow, and gently step into the journey of becoming your authentic self. I work with adults, offering psychotherapy in person in Guernsey and online across the UK.
Life’s experiences can lead us to believe we are not ok as we are; we can feel that we are not good enough. To cope, we often disconnect from parts of ourselves; yet, this disconnection also limits our capacity for joy, peace and fulfilment. Through safely understanding and processing our experiences and emotions, we can begin to feel more fully, reconnect with ourselves and move toward a more balanced and meaningful life.
By gaining a greater awareness of ourselves through curiosity and compassion, we can gain a deeper understanding of who we are and in turn, become more aware of the beliefs and patterns that are holding us back. A growing awareness of self brings with it the opportunity for positive growth and change.
Self-awareness allows us to reconnect with a part of us that is often lost beneath the layers of limiting beliefs and our childhood need for acceptance and attachment. We can begin to learn who we are, what we want/don’t want and begin to trust ourselves and make authentic choices.
By accepting your true self, you can begin to release the weight of not feeling good enough, as you come to truly believe that you are — and always have been — enough.

Supporting individuals in discovering and becoming who they truly are. I am dedicated to empowering others to honour their strengths, trust themselves, and live with greater confidence and pride in who they are.
Working with those who have experienced toxic, dysfunctional, or narcissistic relationships, supporting them to reclaim their voice, rebuild their sense of self, and step back into who they truly are, beneath the layers of conditioning, control and self-doubt.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
