About me

Hello and welcome to Fulcrum Counselling and Coaching Practice.

Have you experienced a life changing event that you are finding it difficult to adjust to? Not living the life you want to? Are your relationships challenging either at home, with your family or in the workplace? Do you have addictions which you would like to address? Do you wake up and go to bed feeling anxious, angry or sad? Are you overwhelmed, unhappy and unfulfilled? Do the events from the past impact you today?

By providing a confidential, understanding, patient and non-judgemental safe and trusting environment counselling offers the time and space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and goals whilst respecting your uniqueness. I aim to create awareness, understanding and choice for you to experience a happier and more satisfying way of living. I work with awareness and respect for difference an diversity and welcome enquiries from people with health conditions and impairments.

I have a 1st class honours degree in counselling and am registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their ethical framework. I have been practicing as a counsellor since 2010 and began my training following a life changing event in my 30s during which I found counselling a valuable support. It’s a privilege to be able to support other people during difficult times in life.

I am insured and undertake regular supervision, training and my own personal therapy. My training and insurance allows me to work with anyone aged 18 years and older. I can work in the short term which is helpful when focusing on a single issue and in the longer term which can enable deeper awareness to be made.

Sessions are for 60 minutes and can be face to face, outdoors or online and cost £60 each (concessions are available). The price we agree will not change for duration of our sessions.

I practice from The Haven, near Rudgwick in West Sussex which is within easy access from Cranleigh, Southwater, Horsham, Billingshurst, Slinfold, Wisborough Green, Loxwood, Ewhurst, Godalming, Pulborough,  Crawley and Guildford. For clients living further away I offer online sessions.

Please look at my website for further information about the support I offer.

Please contact me to book an introductory call or initial session or if you have any questions.

Best wishes,

Rebecca

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
