About me

Do you feel like you are carrying the weight of the world on your own? You might be the person everyone else relies on—at home or at work—but inside, you feel exhausted, anxious, or like you are constantly running on empty. It can be incredibly hard to admit you are struggling when you are used to being the one who "just gets on with it."

Perhaps you find yourself overthinking everything, lying awake at night running through scenarios, or feeling a sense of dread that you can't quite explain. You might also be noticing that you are turning to alcohol, gambling, or other habits to numb the stress, and you are worried that these coping mechanisms are starting to take control. You want to feel calm again. You want to regain control over your thoughts and your life, but you don't know how to stop the cycle.

I am a qualified counsellor, but my perspective was shaped in high-pressure, demanding environments long before I entered the therapy room. I understand the reality of modern expectations and the physical and mental toll they take on us. I offer a grounded, down-to-earth approach—no jargon, just real support to help you move from feeling stuck to being functional again.

My specialty is helping people who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, work stress, and life transitions, as well as those struggling with addiction. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we work together to "untangle" your thoughts and understand the habits you use to cope. I provide a confidential space where you can be honest about how you feel without fear of judgment. Whether you need tools to manage panic, support to break a cycle of addiction, or strategies to build resilience, we will work at a pace that suits you.

Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, especially if you are used to handling things alone. But you do not have to wait until you are at breaking point to ask for support. You don't have to be "broken" to come here, and you certainly don't have to face it alone.

I pride myself on being approachable and human. If you are ready to make a change, or if you just want to see if we are a good fit, please send me an email or give me a call. Let’s start the conversation and get you the support you deserve.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
