About me
I offer a safe space for queer and neurodivergent clients who have spent years being the one who has it together or attempting to seem that way. The one who shows up, delivers, performs, the one who is always busy with something.
You might be feeling exhausted, quietly convinced that if you stop moving for even a day and trying to improve everything about yourself, someone will notice you were never as put-together as you seemed and you will be rejected by everyone or entirely fail in life. You've gotten so good at performing "fine" that you're not always sure which parts of you are real, and which parts you built because they felt safer to show.
As a recovering perfectionist, I know this feeling all too well. What I offer is not piles and piles of homework and worksheets that will add to your list of never ending tasks. This isn't another box to tick, or someone trying to catch you out being less than perfect. Somewhere under all the holding-it-together, you may long to ask for help without it meaning you failed.
I offer a space for "I don't know" and imperfection. Playing around with trying out to do things just a little bit imperfectly and slowly discover your true needs and values. Where rest doesn't have to be earned first. Where you can say no without rehearsing the apology, and be uncertain, unfinished, and still enough.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Level 4 Combined certificate and diploma in Adlerian counselling (2025)
- Certificate in online and telephone counselling (2023)
- ASIST suicide prevention training (2024)
- I also have many years of experience working in the healthcare field and strong understanding of how mind and body effect each other. This can be particularly important if you have any chronic or other health conditions that need consideration during our work.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
