About me
I hope the following information is useful to you, if you have any questions, or would like to book in for a call so we can talk further, please just drop me a message.
I am a certified counsellor offering;
- Person centred therapy
- CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)
- TFCBT (trauma focussed CBT)
- Rewind Therapy.
My background also includes both training and experience in the areas of mental health and bereavement.
I’m here to support you, whilst we work closely together to suit your needs. It may be that talking therapy is suitable, or a task based approach is more helpful, or that a mixture of both is most beneficial. This is something we can discuss together sensitively to ensure you get the most out of your sessions.
My previous experience includes working with clients at the Swan Centre, and Ormskirk Bereavement Service. I currently work for a large organisation alongside my private practice, working with those who have experienced:
- Adult trauma
- Childhood trauma
- Work related stress
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Bereavement
- Relationship breakdowns
- Chronic illness
- OCD
- Self-harm
- Phobias
- Confidence and self-esteem.
I am passionate in providing the most appropriate talking therapy, tools, techniques, and coping strategies suited to you as an individual. I have a genuine desire to understand you for you, helping you to heal with the correct support in place whilst being fully committed to your journey. Counselling can feel daunting whilst exploring your vulnerabilities, I am dedicated in ensuring I create a safe environment for you to do just this, a space where you will be heard, understood, and truly respected.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am committed to abiding by their ethical framework, ensuring good practice. I have all of the relevant insurance in place, GDPR compliant, and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
