About me
I am a warm, compassionate individual and my counselling style is both person-centred and trauma-informed. I also integrate a variety of other approaches to enable us to explore your unique way of experiencing yourself and the world.
When life feels hard it is natural to lose belief in yourself and feel alone. However, I believe that everyone deserves, and needs, human connection. This is where counselling can be hugely beneficial, a relationship where you can experience empathy and compassion without feeling judged. Whatever stage you are at in your life, counselling can be a useful space to explore your past, present, or hopes for the future, in a way that nurtures your well-being and unique potential.
I provide individual counselling for adults which takes place weekly and can be face to face, online, or a mixture of both. I offer a safe and welcoming space where the trust we build can enable you to re-establish connection with yourself and others.
I generally advise a minimum of 6-8 sessions to allow you to settle in and feel comfortable to explore your experience with me. Beyond this, I offer short-term or open-ended therapy, depending on what feels best for you. This would be agreed, and regularly discussed, between us. It is important to me that we move at a pace which feels safe and ethical.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

People seek counselling for a wide variety of reasons. Perhaps you are feeling anxious, depressed or isolated. You may have suffered a loss, illness, or feel stuck, helpless and unable to find a way out. I am also open to working specifically with issues around miscarriage or infant loss, infertility and rainbow pregnancies, as well as adoption or adoptive parenting. My role as your counsellor is to support you in finding a way to navigate these difficult or painful experiences.
