About me
Let’s clear your mind together.
People come to counselling for many reasons—stress, loss, anxiety, low self-esteem, or just a feeling that something isn’t quite right. Whatever brings you here, taking the first step can feel daunting. That’s why finding a counsellor you feel comfortable with—someone who listens without judgment and really gets you—is so important.
I’m a person-centred integrative counsellor. That means I put you at the heart of our work together, and I use a range of therapeutic approaches depending on what you need. Think of it like a toolbox—different tools for different moments. Some days you might need to talk and reflect; other times you might want practical strategies to help you cope.I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk freely and explore what’s on your mind, at your own pace. Whether you’re looking to better understand yourself, process difficult experiences, or make a change in your life, I’ll be alongside you every step of the way. We’ll go at your pace, and I’ll always meet you where you are, not where you think you “should” be.
I offer a calm, supportive space where you can talk freely and explore what’s on your mind. I work online (via Zoom) and by telephone, so you can access therapy in the way that suits you best. Whether it’s from your living room, your office, or even your garden, being in a space where you feel secure can make opening up that much easier—and more productive.
Counselling is your time. A space just for you, to be seen, heard, and supported, whatever you’re facing. When you’re ready, I’m here.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified person-centred integrative counsellor, trained to work with a wide range of issues in a way that is both flexible and client-focused. My approach combines the core values of person-centred therapy—empathy, respect, and authenticity—with integrative techniques, which means I draw on various methods to suit your needs. This ensures that our work together is tailored specifically to what you’re going through, whether that’s exploring difficult emotions, developing coping strategies, or finding clarity in uncertain situations.
I have completed further training in-trauma-informed therapy and CBT. Over the years, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients, each with their own challenges, from anxiety, bereavement, and depression to life transitions and relationship difficulties. This experience has deepened my understanding of how to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard and understood.
Alongside my practical experience, I engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest therapeutic practices and research, ensuring that I can offer the most effective support possible.
I am passionate about helping people find their path forward and feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
Through my volunteer work with victim support Scotland and healed scars I have gained extensive experience, helping individuals through emotional abuse, trauma, domestic and sexual violence.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
It can be really hard to take the first step, but if you feel that it is something that you want to do then I offer a free 15 minute initial telephone or Zoom consultation, so that you have an opportunity to meet me and for me to assess whether my area of expertise matches what you are looking for. During this informal conversation, you will be able to ask me any questions you might have, and fully explore if you think you might feel counselling is right for you. I will be able to give you a bit more information about how it works and how counselling can be helpful. Please feel free to send me an email if you have any questions.
