About me
Supporting individuals, couples and families to build healthier, more connected relationships.
Do you feel stuck in relational patterns, worried, withdrawn, insecure, overwhelmed, or weighed down by past experiences? Do you struggle with excessive guilt and shame? Does communication feel strained, or has intimacy become distant, stressful, or confusing? Whether you’re coming as an individual, couple, or family member, I offer a calm, supportive space to explore what’s happening and support you with processing and change.
I specialise in relationships, psychosexual therapy, attachment, shame, and relational dynamics. With over 13 years of experience in the NHS and private practice, I bring a supportive trauma-informed approach to understanding how past and present experiences shape the way you relate today and work through relational and sexual issues.
My background in systemic family therapy and interpersonal therapy also means I pay close attention to the wider systems, histories, relational trauma and patterns that influence your wellbeing and relationships.
How I Work
My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in curiosity. I don’t simply observe; we work together to understand your patterns, reduce distress, and build healthier ways of relating to others. If you are looking to feel sensitively supported and challenged to grow and develop, this could be the approach for you.
This is a non-shaming space for you to bring whatever you wish to improve and process. I am particularly interested in how early attachments contribute to how we cope and relate to ourselves and others. This led me to pursue extra further training in couples, family dynamics and sexual issues.
I integrate a range of therapeutic modalities and tailor the work to your needs, pace, and goals. My goal is for you to leave feeling you have gained self-awareness and strategies to improve your life.
Areas I Support
Conflict, tension, and communication breakdowns
Betrayal, loss of trust and generational trauma
Attachment patterns (withdrawal, anxiety, insecurity)
Patterns of choosing unavailable partners or struggles to feel secure in relationships
Parenting differences and wider family pressures
Life transitions such as separation, bereavement, divorce, job loss, or becoming parents
Narcassistic abuse
Sexual difficulties (changes in desire, arousal issues, pain on penetration, performance anxiety, mismatched or low libido, erectile issues)
Processing relational trauma (past or present)
Grief, loss, and emotional disconnection
Repeating unhealthy relationship patterns or low self-worth
Difficulties starting or sustaining relationships
Jealousy, anger and betrayal
Non-monogamy and relationship contracts
Blocks to physical and emotional intimacy in romantic relationships
Processing past or present hurts and feelings of resentment.
Improving intimacy, closeness, and emotional safety
I work sensitively with neurodiversity (ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other ND traits), exploring how sensory experiences and processing styles influence relationships, communication, and emotional wellbeing.
What to expect
You can expect a non-judgemental, insightful, culturally sensitive space where all parts of you are welcome, including the parts that feel ashamed, confused, angry, or stuck.
Together, we explore both past and present experiences to deepen insight and create meaningful, lasting change.
With couples (or family members), I help each person express their needs more clearly, hear each other more fully, and develop new ways of resolving conflict and nurturing closeness.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Walk & Talk - If you would prefer the option of ‘walk and talk’ therapy. I am located in a rural area with privately owned countryside walks. If you would feel more comfortable walking alongside me rather than in a therapy room, then walking therapy could be ideal for you.
The emphasis in ‘Walk and Talk Therapy’ is on the therapy, and the walking is a secondary benefit. You set the pace of the session but should not expect an extremely strenuous workout or any sort of personal training.
