About me
Hi, I’m Quincie.
I am a qualified counsellor, registered with the BACP. I offer open-ended counselling to adults seeking support with past, present, and future life challenges. You may wish to focus on a specific concern, or you may be looking for a space to reflect more generally. Whatever brings you to counselling, we'll work together in a way that feels meaningful and helpful for you. I aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, at a pace that feels right for you.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that there is something powerful about being genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. I work in a non-judgemental and relational way, valuing the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings. My role is to offer a space where you can explore what matters to you freely, without expectations or the need to reach a particular outcome. Sometimes this process may lead to new insights or meaningful change, and sometimes it is simply valuable to have a place where you can be fully yourself.
Practicalities
Sessions are 50 minutes and typically take place weekly, though alternative arrangements can be discussed. I offer counselling in-person, online, over the phone, and outdoors. We can explore what works best for you during an initial call. Sessions cost £50. I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces, which are currently full.
Initial counselling call
I offer a free 15–20 minute video call to discuss the possibility of working together. During this call, we can get a sense of one another, explore what has led you to seek counselling, and consider whether my way of working feels like a good fit for your needs.
Common questions:
“Where are you based?”
I am based just outside of Bury St Edmunds.
“I’m not really sure what I want from therapy — is that okay?”
Yes, absolutely. It is very common not to have a clear goal at the start of therapy. We can explore together what you might find most helpful, or use the space to reflect and process without pressure. Sometimes people simply need space to process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in an environment where they are truly heard and valued without judgement.
“What does open-ended counselling mean?”
Open-ended counselling means there is no fixed limit on the number of sessions. We will regularly review how the work is feeling for you, and you can continue until you feel ready to end.
Please reach out if you'd like to book an initial counselling call.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
