About me

Have you ever reached the end of the day and realised you were there, but not really present?

Many of the people I work with are used to getting on with things. On the surface, life looks good.  Work is busy, responsibilities are met, and others often rely on them. But inside, they feel mentally switched on all the time, physically tense, and emotionally disconnected. Even when they stop, they don’t feel rested.

Who I Help

I help adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, low self-worth and self-esteem, and who experience low mood.  I also help couples to rebuild connection in their relationships and to start feeling more like a team again. Many of my clients are high-functioning, capable people who appear to be coping well but feel quietly overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves or their relationships.

Clients often describe spending their evenings zoning out either by doom scrolling, drinking, or watching something without really taking it in.  This is not because it feels good, but because it’s the only way they know how to switch off. Afterwards, they may feel flat, irritable, or frustrated with themselves for “not coping better”.

How I work
I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or say the “right” things. My approach is warm, human, and down-to-earth, and I place a strong emphasis on helping clients feel safe, understood, and at ease.

Much of my work involves supporting people who are self-critical, emotionally stretched, or burned out to develop greater self-compassion and self-understanding. Together, we slow things down and gently explore how stress and anxiety show up in the body, how you speak to yourself, and the coping strategies you’ve learned over time.

Therapy is not about fixing you. It is about helping you reconnect with yourself, so you feel more present in your life, less driven by pressure or comparison, and more able to respond to yourself with kindness rather than judgement.

You do not need to be in crisis to come to therapy. If life looks fine on the outside but you are quietly struggling on the inside, therapy can be a helpful place to pause and reflect.

I work face to face and online in the UK.

Working with individuals
I work with adults experiencing:

  • Anxiety (including health anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, and generalised anxiety)
  • Stress and burnout
  • Low mood
  • Low self-confidence and self-worth
  • Feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted

As a psychotherapist specialising in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and  Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), I use a practical and collaborative approach. We work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, gently challenge beliefs that keep you stuck, and develop tools you can use in everyday life to manage stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm more effectively.

Working with couples and relationships
I work with couples and a wide range of relationship types. Maybe you are in a straight or gay relationship or maybe you would like some support with your family or friendships, there is space to do that here.

Common reasons people seek relationship therapy include feeling disconnected, stuck in repeated arguments, struggling with communication, or feeling unsure about the future of their relationship. Life pressures, stress, and unresolved issues can gradually create distance, resentment, or emotional shutdown.

In therapy, I support you to slow things down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and explore each person’s needs. You will learn practical ways to improve communication, reduce conflict, and rebuild connection and emotional intimacy.

Whether you are seeking a relationship “health check”, support through a difficult period, or help repairing what feels lost, I offer a compassionate and balanced space to work through this together.

Next steps
I offer a free 15-minute initial call (this can be booked through my website), which gives you the opportunity to ask questions, share a little about what’s been going on for you, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

If you’re feeling anxious, burned out, disconnected, or struggling in your relationship, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
