About me

I am a Counselling Psychologist registered in both the UK and Australia, offering a warm, thoughtful and collaborative approach to therapy. I work with adults and young people aged 16 and over, providing a supportive space to make sense of difficult experiences, better understand yourself and your patterns, and work towards meaningful change.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may be feeling anxious or overwhelmed, struggling with low mood or self-esteem, or finding yourself caught in patterns of perfectionism, self-criticism or overthinking. You might be experiencing burnout, difficulties in your relationships, challenges managing emotions, or concerns around food and body image. Sometimes, there may not be one clear problem at all - you may simply feel stuck, disconnected from yourself, or aware that something in your life needs to change.

My approach is warm, grounded and compassionate. I aim to offer a calm and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely understood. Therapy with me is collaborative: we can explore what has shaped the way you think, feel and relate to others, while also developing practical ways of navigating the difficulties you are experiencing now.

I work integratively, which means I tailor therapy to you rather than expecting you to fit within one particular model. My work is grounded in Humanistic and Existential approaches and draws on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).

I have particular experience supporting people with anxiety, depression and low mood, burnout and stress, perfectionism and self-criticism, relationship difficulties, emotion regulation, eating concerns and body image difficulties. I am also committed to providing neurodivergent-affirming therapy and have undertaken additional training in supporting people experiencing disordered eating.

Having lived and practised internationally, I bring a particular appreciation of the ways our culture, identity, relationships and life experiences can shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. My clinical experience spans a range of settings, including women's health and private psychological practice.

Alongside individual therapy, I work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide psychological assessment and support around bariatric surgery, including pre-surgical psychological assessments and ongoing psychological care.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a First Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a PhD in Psychology and completed my professional psychology training in Australia through the 4+2 pathway. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
