About me

I believe everyone has the right to live their life to the full, be the best that they can be, achieving their goals and full potential.

Sometimes life can feel like climbing a mountain every day, I know what this feels like.

I work in a variety of ways to fit a client's individual needs, with a not one size fits all approach. We are all unique and I celebrate this with you. I find nothing more rewarding than being a part of a journey of empowerment and positive change and growth. I am very passionate about helping my clients achieve this and using various tools tailored to their individual needs. I've have had the pleasure of seeing them go on to live the lives they want.

Are you wanting to understand your feelings and how to manage them? Perhaps you have lost your confidence and self-esteem and need some help to get them back? Maybe you experienced a loss or experienced a life event that you are struggling to work through and reach acceptance on? I offer a warm, gentle, safe space, giving you the time in which to share your thoughts and help you understand yourself better and support you in making positive changes.

Making the decision to invest in your emotional and psychological well-being is an important step and finding the right counsellor to meet your needs can feel daunting and overwhelming; it is vital in achieving the best outcome. I understand and appreciate this, hence I offer a free, thirty-minute telephone consultation, which you're able to book.

I am a qualified integrative Counsellor Psychotherapist, Creative Arts Therapist and have life coaching training. I have over 25yrs experience in working with children, young people, teens, adults and families in a variety of settings and from all walks of life. I am based in Kent.

As a member of the BACP, I work within their professional guidelines. I offer a warm, gentle, safe, confidential space, free from judgement, where you will be free to be yourself and be accepted. I allow you the time and space to explore your thoughts, feelings and concerns.

I am passionate about helping people achieve their potential empowering them to live the life they want and breaking down any barriers to this by working together as a team and helping them to achieve their goals. I have worked in a variety of roles and settings with all ages and backgrounds and Counselling was a natural progression in my career. We are all different and therapists work differently, you can find out more about me on my website. I am passionate about adapting to a client's needs. Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
