About us

Hello, I'm Kiranadhi, and I offer psychotherapeutic counselling in person in Hertford and in Queens Park in London, as well as online. I welcome adults from all backgrounds, cultures, identities, abilities and disabilities.

You might be feeling anxiety, stress or depression right now, or perhaps you have noticed unhelpful patterns in relationships. There might be something that you want to address from the past. Whatever your presenting symptoms, concerns or challenges that have brought you here, I offer an empathic space to explore them with you. My relational, integrative approach to counselling allows me to respond uniquely to what needs attending to. I draw on psychodynamic, Jungian, and developmental psychology as well as neurobiological approaches to the psychology of trauma.

We will go at your pace, with a soulful perspective that attunes to what is needed.

Choosing the right therapist for you is important, so please take a look at my website for more information www.psychematters.co.uk - I offer a free 15 minute online consultation so we can see if we are a good fit.

I encourage you to let me know about any adaptations that might support you to access therapy. I have lived experience of hidden disability, and a professional background in working with others with a range of differences, including neurodiversity.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at Re-Vision in London and hold a diploma in Integrative Transpersonal counselling, with post qualification experience. I am currently undertaking an advanced diploma with Re-Vision as a psychotherapist.

Prior to setting up Psyche Matters Therapy, I worked at The Psychosynthesis Trust in London, and Mind in Enfield & Barnet as a volunteer.

I have a degree in psychology and have spent two decades working with children and adolescents with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, as well as delivering training to schools on autism, ADHD and trauma perceptive practice.

Below you will see some of the areas of counselling that I work with. If your area is not listed, this does not mean that it is excluded. We can have a conversation about what you are looking for.

Member organisations *

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Wheelchair user access info
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I have a particular interest in working with people with health conditions which affect their physical, emotional and/or mental health. I have access to premises for wheelchair access when required. Please contact me to discuss accessibility needs.
