About me
I am a trauma-informed Counsellor and a Grief Educator. I provide short-term and long-term (open-ended) counselling to adults, age over 18.
The counselling sessions can take place via Zoom WhatsApp, Team and phone call. In-person counselling is conducted in Burley, New Forest and in Rownhams, Southampton.
You may feel apprehensive about choosing the right counsellor for the issues you wish to process. I offer a free 20 minute session to chat with me via WhatsApp or Zoom. This is an opportunity for you to find out if I would be a good fit for you.
The therapy I provide is trauma informed and attachment focused. It’s an integration of Humanistic Integrative Counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Guided imagery with the approach of Compassionate Inquiry and Somatic Experiencing.
In therapy with me, you will be able to offload in a safe and confidential environment with no judgement. The foundation we will establish first is your sense of safety and the authentic self. Your body remembers. We will deal with your issues at both mind and body level. Whatever the challenges you’re facing at this stage in life, I will walk side by side with you. We will process your difficulty together, we will make sense of it together and we will heal your wound together.
I also specialise in:
- Anxiety & Depression
- Developmental Trauma
- OCD
- Sudden & Unexpected/Traumatic Loss
- Pregnancy & Infant/Child Loss
- Relationship loss
- Dementia
- Cancer & Life limiting Illnesses
- End of life Support
- Grief & Bereavement
I am a member of British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP). I have nearly 30 years experience working in the fields of grief, cancer, dementia and palliative care. To many people, talking to loved ones about cancer and their end of life needs can be extremely difficult. I can facilitate family meetings to help with this challenging issue.
Please call or email me to arrange a free 20 minutes consultation via WhatsApp or Zoom.
I can offer counselling in Mandarin.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
