About us

The PF Counselling Service is a registered charity established in 1986 with the vision to enable Edinburgh's citizens to embrace life more fully through the growth, changes and healing that can take place through the counselling process. The service is available to individuals over the age of 18. We offer a professional service regardless of ability to pay, with clients contributing what they can afford.

There is very high demand for the affordable counselling available at the PF.  This means we are often closed for new requests while we work through our waiting list.

Please visit our website or social media feeds for news when our list opens.

Training, qualifications & experience

We have over 100 volunteer counsellors who work with a wide variety of modalities and approaches. All our counsellors are either fully qualified or in the final stages of a recognised Counselling or Psychotherapy Diploma qualification.
