Finding the right counsellor is extremely important so here is a little bit about me.
I have been a counsellor to adults, teenagers and children for 14 years. I hold good counselling qualifications and am Accredited with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) In my counselling room I provide a warm, welcoming and emotionally safe environment to explore any worries, problems or issues that are causing you distress, sadness or anxiety.
You may feel that a short period of counselling will help or that something more long term will be supportive, we can work this out together. Your session is completely confidential.
I also offer Clinical Supervision to fellow Counsellors , Pastoral Support & Teaching staff.
My training includes many different approaches in counselling- Psychodynamic, Person Centred, CBT and Solution Focused Counselling means I can help in different ways.
My experience includes working with
Anger Management ,ADHD, Autism
Panic Attacks, Parenting Issues
Low Self Esteem,
Work related problems
In 2008 I jointly founded The Schools Counselling Service which is still operational and in its 8th year of realisation. My role as a school counsellor means I am practised in play therapy and can work with children and young people in an age appropriate way.
I have also worked closely with Cahms and the Integrated Services Team for Suffolk County Council helping young people with issues such as loss and self esteem.
Please contact me if you feel you would like to arrange a Counselling appointment or to arrange Clinical Supervision.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
