About me
I am a central London-based BACP accredited Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I am also a trained coach so weave these two skills into my practice. I specialise in relationships – the most critical being the relationship we have with ourselves, but also our partner, siblings, parents, our children, friends and work colleagues. I also specialise in helping people in highly demanding jobs. I used to work in corporate consultancy and so know first-hand the stresses of such an unforgiving career. Thus, I am more likely to ‘get’ the struggles of what it is like in your role.
I'll create a warm, safe, supportive (yet sometimes challenging) place to help you navigate through the complexities and messiness of your relationships and work-life. I will accept you as you are and work with you to help you reach a greater sense of tranquillity and balance. Together we will help you find greater purpose, meaning and control in your life.
I have recorded a series of ten short videos to help guide you through the complexity, confusion and possible anxiety of psychotherapy. Simply go to my YouTube site: paularnold4002
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my training at The Metanoia Institute. Apart from that I also hold a BSc in Psychology, an MBA and a MSc in Change. I am also a Master Practitioner in NLP and a trained executive coach.
I worked in corporate consulting for 25 years.
Hence I am almost uniquely qualified to work with organisations and their employees.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I love working with people and really getting to know them as unique, special individuals, full of all their wonderful ways of being. In particular I am passionate and deeply interested in two areas: people struggling with their relationships (which can include the relationship they have with themselves) and also people in stressful, high pressure corporate roles. I also enjoy working with teams.
