About me
We all need support at times, and people come to therapy for different reasons.
Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or low in yourself. Perhaps you feel caught in difficult relationship patterns, navigating loss, or carrying the lasting impact of past experiences. Or maybe you simply know something doesn’t feel right, and you’d value a safe, supportive space to talk.
My approach is warm, grounded, and trauma-informed, helping you make sense of your emotional world and reconnect with the parts of yourself that need care, clarity, and compassion.
Training, qualifications & experience
My experience includes
- Counselling experience within NHS Psychological Therapies, supporting people affected by cancer and their families through grief, loss, anxiety, body image concerns, existential issues, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions.
- In private practice, I work with adults experiencing relational trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-worth, grief, and relationship challenges, helping them develop greater emotional awareness, self-compassion, and resilience.
- I also bring over 18 years of NHS experience in senior nursing roles, supporting people living with addiction, acute and chronic illness, and end-of-life care. This experience has deepened my understanding of the emotional impact of health challenges, loss, and life-changing events.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with
Clients often come to me carrying the effects of relational trauma, often subtle, unspoken, or misunderstood.
These wounds may begin in childhood through neglect, inconsistency, unpredictability, or abuse, or develop later through painful adult relationships marked by betrayal, control, or emotional unavailability.
If this feels familiar, you’re not alone and it can be explored gently, at your pace.

Further information
My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens through safe connection, deeper self-understanding, and new relational experiences.
I work with how emotions are experienced in the present moment, integrating somatic awareness to support this process, while also exploring how past relationships and experiences may be shaping current patterns.
I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities, and I aim to offer a respectful, inclusive, and non-judgemental space where you can move at your own pace.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to arrange a free 20-minute introductory call or book a first session directly to explore what brings you to therapy and to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
