I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and BPS.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am trained to a doctoral level to deliver psychological therapy, working with adults from a wide range of backgrounds. I practice various therapeutic models including CBT, EMDR, psychodynamic and Schema therapy both for individuals and couples. I have over 12 years of experience working in mental health services, in both the NHS and private healthcare, supporting clients with a wide range of mild to severe difficulties.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

I provide a safe space in which I encourage the exploration of your difficulties in the wider context of your experiences, your past and the ways in which these may have influenced problems and difficulties that have arisen. To work with you to better understand yourself.
I understand how important it is to find a therapist who you feel comfortable with. I offer a 15’ free initial telephone consultation during which we can discuss how I might be able to help you and answer any questions you may have as you embark on your therapeutic journey.
