About me
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, stressed, burnt out, or struggling with life’s pressures, relationships, or carrying things that are hard to put into words. You don’t need to have clear goals or know exactly what to talk about at the start. We can take things one step at a time and work at a pace that feels right for you.
I offer a calm, warm and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, reflect and explore what matters most at your own pace. The therapeutic relationship is central to my work, as meaningful change often happens when you feel accepted, understood, and safe.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor, helping adults navigate life’s challenges and understand themselves more deeply. I draw from person-centred, psychodynamic, and CBT approaches, and I also work creatively when this feels helpful, using reflective exercises, particularly when words are hard to find.
I work with adults facing a range of emotional and life challenges, including trauma, relationship difficulties, stress and low mood. Alongside my private practice, I have experience in charity settings, including North Kent Mind, supporting adults with a wide range of mental health challenges.
I work collaboratively and adapt my approach to your individual needs, recognising that each person’s experience is unique.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework. I hold a BACP-approved Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Awarding Body (CPCAB), and have worked as a counsellor with North Kent Mind, mental health charity.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent many years working in the corporate world in a variety of roles. These experiences, alongside my professional training, help inform how I work with clients and allow me to understand the pressures and challenges that can arise in different areas of life.
I am committed to ongoing learning and self-reflection through regular continuing professional development and clinical supervision, ensuring that I offer safe, ethical, and thoughtful support to my clients.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
