About me
Sometimes people seek therapy for a specific problem, like feeling depressed or anxious. Sometimes because there has been a life transition that has been particularly hard to navigate. Or perhaps because they have a sense of there being repeating patterns in their relationships and life that are leaving them feeling stuck or empty. Sometimes people do not feel exactly sure why they are seeking therapy, there is just a sense of something being not quite right and an idea that this is something that could usefully be explored with another person.
I am an experienced Chartered Psychologist who specialises in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have over 11 years experience working in the NHS with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, emotional and relational difficulties, physical difficulties with an emotional component, and psychosis.
My approach is psychodynamic, meaning that I understand a persons current difficulties in the context of their past, and both are attended to in the therapeutic process. Not all of what we experience is available to our conscious mind; our work will take an interest in what goes on under the surface. I offer an initial 20 minute phone call free of charge.
I offer in person therapy in a comfortable, private space in Belgravia. I currently have some availability on Friday.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
