About me
Welcome to my page.
I am leading an ever-evolving practice which holds presence and creativity at it's core. I aim to create a welcoming space for individuals who wish to process life happenings through talking and/or creative activities (drawing and visual storytelling).
I welcome individuals dealing with a range of issues, including midlife transitions, grief, anger, relationships, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, high sensitivity and more.
Drawing: if I see you face-to-face, I provide you with a sketchbook for moments when it feels right for you to express your feelings through art materials. You don't need artistic skills for therapeutic expressions and it's good for moments when words are hard to find.
If I see you online, you can bring materials with you if you wish to use creativity as part of your processing.
Therapy cards: I use different versions of therapy cards (OH cards, Inuk Cards, handmade cards). These cards show painted scenarios or abstract forms. I would ask you to choose the ones that you feel drawn to in the moment. Then we explore the upcoming feelings and revelations as appropriate and as needed. I am there to follow your lead and support you through with anything presenting.
Visualisation: Patterns that are connected to childhood wounds and traumas (shame, guilt, abandonment, misattunement, grief etc.) can be revisited through storytelling. Any distressing memory can be rewired by changing the story according to the needs of your child self (reparenting yourself). In this process we might discover integrations of unhelpful strategies that were necessary survival strategies at the time but now they are holding you back from growing into your true potential.
Somatic awareness: I work holistically as much as I can, and I will often invite you to check in with your body and describe the residing sensations, or be aware of the state of your breath. I might offer you some psycho-education about the nervous system to help understanding the bodily reactions and how to connect with them. The nervous system requires gentleness and safety for it to come out of survival mode and to move into rest and digest.
I have been working with adult women and men.
I am offering bereavement support to adults and children via an agency.
I facilitate group sessions (e.g. anger workshop)

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
