About us

One Vision Counselling Service (now One Vision Talking Therapy) is an Organisational Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. Our service is a low cost privately run counselling agency. Our aim is to provide a high quality and professional counselling service at a low cost. We provide an easily available service at an affordable cost. We believe that counselling services should be available to everyone.

One Vision Counselling Service was founded in 2016 by a small team of professional and qualified counsellors whose mission is to provide counselling to clients experiencing difficult issues and emotions. We value and honour difference and diversity and will support and work with you in a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space as we explore together the challenges that you are faced with - be it day to day challenges or deeper-rooted experiences that may be affecting you now.  The service has grown over the years and continues to grow as we support clients from all background and with various life experiences.  We are now One Vision Talking Therapy having changed hands in August 2022.  We welcome the opportunity to work with you and to work towards the change that you want for your life.   The work our counsellors provide is governed by the BACP's Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions which we adhere to.

We offer therapy sessions via Zoom, face to face or the telephone.  We are a diverse team of counsellors and psychotherapists and as such, our therapists can also offer therapy in Spanish speaking and Tamil speaking.  Should you wish to book sessions in ether Spanish or Tamil please specify when making contact.

Our counsellors are experienced in working within a variety of settings including voluntary placements, established private practice, GP surgeries and schools. We see clients in our Deptford consulting rooms and West Norwood, SE27 which are welcoming and friendly spaces. We also offer online sessions to support clients in these uncertain times.

The therapists working at One Vision Talking Therapy come from a diverse range of backgrounds.  When you contact us we aim to respond to your enquiry within 24 hours and we will arrange to complete an assessment with you.   We will then explore with you the type of therapy that will best meet your needs and offer you Counselling with one of our therapists.

We can help clients experiencing a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress, life changes, but this is just a few of the difficulties that we work with.

We offer short-term and long-term counselling sessions. Please see our price structure on our website for further information.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
