About me
Bottling things up because you don't feel there is anybody you can turn to can be exhausting. Are you tired of trying to hold it all together, when really you just need somebody to listen and support you? My name is Olivia. I am a Qualified Level 7 Counsellor, and I am proud to be able to offer that support to you.
As your counsellor, I am dedicated to using a kind, calming and caring approach through remaining open-minded and aware of the many issues, stresses and pressures you may be facing in your life. It can be helpful to know that you have somebody to turn to when things start feeling all too much. I am pleased to be able to offer a safe and confidential space to explore your feelings, where you will feel truly heard and accepted for who you are.
How I Can Help You
My clients are always placed at the centre of the counselling process. I believe that if you are paying for a service, you should be in control of what you would like to focus our sessions on, what goals you would like to aim to achieve, and how we navigate through topics you’d like to discuss together. Each person that enters my counselling room is unique, everybody experiences life differently, however it is most important to remind you that you do not have to experience it alone! That is what I am here for.
Flexible Session Options - Online & Face-to-Face
I am pleased to be able to offer all clients a free initial 15-minute introduction call via Microsoft Teams, if you wish to do so. This gives you chance to see whether we are the right fit - choosing the correct counsellor for your needs is so important! I offer online counselling so you can attend counselling from the comfort of your own home. I also offer face-to-face counselling sessions in Lincoln. Giving you the choice of what works best for you further places you at the centre of the counselling process and ensures we work in a way that will meet your mental wellbeing needs the best.
My Therapeutic Experience
With experience in working with adults 18-80, I have supported clients through a wide range of issues impacting their mental health. Primarily, I have supported individuals navigating anticipatory grief, terminal illness and bereavement. In addition to anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, romantic, familial and friendship related conflicts, separation and divorce, body image and self-esteem issues, historical abuse and associated trauma, alcohol dependency, work-related stress, and affairs and betrayals. This experience allows me to empathise and remain sensitive to your varying needs. While I have primarily trained in the person-centred framework (which remains at the core of my counselling technique), I also work in an integrative way, meaning I am able to draw on various theories to ensure it feels right for you.
Starting Your Therapeutic Journey
Reaching out for support can feel incredibly daunting. You should feel very proud of yourself for taking this step. Please feel free to email me, I am more than happy to help with getting your counselling journey started.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
