About me
I offer individual and relationship counselling and psychotherapy in South London (SE1) and online
I work with adult individuals, couples and people in multiple partner relationships
In my practice, I deeply value and respect the diversity that makes each of us uniquely human. I understand that our lives are shaped by a rich tapestry of experiences, extending beyond our individual journeys to include the influences of our families, our heritage, the communities we belong to, and the wider society we navigate. With a trauma-informed lens, I recognise the profound impact these interconnected experiences can have, and I approach our work together with sensitivity and awareness.
My clients approach me for a variety of reason. Whatever your reason, I will support you to make meaning and create change by providing an empathic therapeutic relationship. While it is important to nurture a support network, speaking to someone trained to be beside you as you navigate what can often be a painful journey of healing can be incredibly helpful. My role will be to meet you, authentically, and stand beside you in your exploration of whatever you choose to bring to therapy. Unusual though it may sound, my ultimate goal will be to put myself out of a job.
Choosing the right therapist for you is an important decision to make at the beginning of this journey. As such, I offer you a free call to help you decide whether I am the person you'd like to work with. I recognise the disproportionate challenges experienced by racialised people, people who are LGBTQ+, survivors, migrants, refugees, and people who are otherwise marginalised along lines of gender, ethnicity, or sexual or relationship diversity. I warmly invite these experiences into my practice.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Cultural and Global Perspectives in Mental Health Care, which prepared me to bring cultural humility and a critical lens to my work.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means that I am qualified to work as a counsellor and psychotherapist and adhering to their ethical standards ensures I work ethically and safely with my clients.
I am also an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). This body runs a Professional Standards Authority accredited register, providing further reassurance to my clients that I'm fully qualified to practice.
Outside of my independent practice, I have worked in the NHS in psychosis outpatient services and with University College London's Student Psychological and Counselling Service, and continue to work there periodically.
I have also served on the board of The Red Clinic, a collective of communist mental health workers committed to care of the oppressed and a radical psychotherapy.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
