About me
I am a fully qualified adult psychotherapist, Certified Transactional Analyst, and relationships counsellor. I offer integrative psychotherapy on a weekly basis, in person and online, seeing clients in my Cambridge office Monday to Friday.
Having spent hundreds of hours alongside clients from all walks of life, I strongly believe that there is no one right or simple way to feel or think about ourselves, our individual lives, and the world we inhabit. We are complex beings that often need space and support of others to slow down and make sense of what has happened to us, why we feel out of place, or how to move forward. Therapy with me can be one such place for you.
My therapeutic orientation can be described with many big words - psychodynamic, humanist, integrative, interpersonal, feminist. All this means is that as your therapist, I focus on who you are, who you have been, and who you are becoming in relation to yourself and the world around you.
As my client, you will find that my approach combines a supportive empathic stance with an apt challenge. I bring my humanity and knowledge to meet you where you are emotionally - with respect, honesty, and kindness. When appropriate, I will share my reflections and observations with you to facilitate your self-exploration and understanding of how we impact each other.
All parts of you are welcome. Without judgement. At your own pace.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at the Metanoia Institute in London, one of the most well-established psychotherapy training providers in the UK. In addition to private practice, my professional experiences include volunteering with the young people's charity and a research clinic, as well as working in the NHS specialist secondary mental health care provision.
Formal training aside, I have also spent a few hundred hours in my own therapy. This means that I have a felt sense of what it's like to sit in the client's chair. As a result, I have understood myself well enough, so that when I work with you, it is your concerns we address together, not mine.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
As a third culture child, I relate easily to the complexity of building a new life in a foreign culture and understand the challenges that cross-cultural relationships may bring up.
I am also fluent in Russian and offer therapy to Russian-speaking clients who prefer to be supported in this language.
