About me
Online and Telephone Counselling with Compassion and Encouragement
You’ve found your way here, even if you’re not sure why yet. Maybe you’re dealing with anxiety, low mood, or grief. You might feel worn out from not fitting in, whether that’s in certain places, conversations, or even within yourself. Or maybe you just sense that something needs to change, even if you can’t put your finger on it. You don’t need to have all the answers to get support. We can begin right where you are.
I provide online and telephone counselling for adults throughout the UK. My sessions give a warm, relaxed space where you don’t have to explain or simplify your feelings. We’ll move at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you.
I understand what it’s like to feel out of place, whether that’s in certain situations, conversations, or even in your own body. It’s not always easy to be honest about these feelings. Because I have personal experience with neurodivergence and chronic illness, I know these challenges firsthand. With me, honesty is at the heart of our work together. You don’t need to know exactly what you need; just being here is enough.
How I Work
The relationship we build is my top priority. I emphasise creating a sincere connection through acceptance and encouragement, so you can feel free to be yourself without putting on a front.
My approach is person-centred, so you decide where we go and how quickly we move. I’m aware that our past has the power to shape our present, and I work in a trauma-informed way to make sure you never feel pressured. When it’s useful, I bring in practical tools from CBT and REBT to help you challenge unhelpful thoughts and build a kinder relationship with yourself. Everything is designed for you.
I support clients dealing with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, neurodivergence (like ADHD and autism), chronic illness, low self-esteem, identity questions, stress, life changes, and relationship challenges. Whatever you’re carrying, and whoever you are, you’re welcome here.
What Working Together Can Offer
Many people find that counselling helps them feel more grounded, kinder to themselves, and better able to handle life’s challenges. Change often happens gradually, sometimes before you even notice it. My job is to help create the space for that to happen.
When we work together, you’ll have a steady, relaxed space to reflect, explore, and get to know yourself better, without any pressure, judgment, or expectations.
"We cannot change, we cannot move away from what we are, until we thoroughly accept what we are. Then change seems to come about almost unnoticed."
– Carl Rogers, On Becoming a Person
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Foundation Certificate in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
My background spans private practice, community mental health, and listening services. I am committed to ongoing professional development and have completed additional training in grief and loss, as well as in working therapeutically with neurodivergent clients.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
