About me

Hello, I'm Nicole and I am a Person Centred Counsellor. I offer counselling to adults covering a variety of issues including anxiety, depression and/or emotional trauma, no matter what the cause. I am very passionate about supporting people and provide a safe, private and non-judgmental space for you to explore and talk about your concerns and difficulties. Whatever is holding you back from living life on your terms is worth talking about. I fully believe that everyone has the power within themselves to promote positive change.

The counselling session is your time and space to talk about whatever you find difficult whether it's past or present. My role is to focus on what you are feeling about your life and what you want to get out of it. We identify the gap between how you feel now and how you want to feel, and I support you to move towards that.

When suffering, taking the first steps can be very daunting so well done for getting this far. During our initial contact, my main aim will be to put you at ease and help you fully understand the process and what to expect to make sure that this is the right path for you to promote positive change and enable you to move forward with confidence.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
