About me

Hello, I'm Nicola, an experienced person-centred counsellor working with clients online nationwide and in Crieff, Perthshire. I help people explore and resolve enduring problems, cope with crisis and find greater self-acceptance and peace.

I am preparing to return to face-to-face working from 15 September 2021.

What I offer

A safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which to explore problems and feelings that you might find hard to discuss with family and friends. I work in an empathic and accepting way to help you gain a better understanding of yourself and make positive changes in your life.

I offer both short and long-term counselling. Some people find just one session is enough whereas others appreciate more time to explore their issues at their own pace.

I have particular experience of working with people suffering from anxiety, low self-esteem and perfectionism.

Where do I work?

I am working online by Zoom or phone during the pandemic and until it feels safe enough to return to face-to-face work. When working in person I see clients in a warm and welcoming room in my home in Crieff, which is on the first floor. There is plenty of free parking.

My approach

Perhaps you have been feeling 'stuck' lately, or for years. Exploring in a compassionate and supportive way what has been keeping you stuck and why, can lead to release and renewal in your life. I believe that when we feel truly heard, understood and accepted just as we are by another it allows us to connect with ourselves in the same way and can lead to an authentic change in our lives.

What next?

If you would like to have a free chat about arranging an initial session, please call me on 07702 819640, email me here or use the contact form on my website. Sessions last 50 minutes and my fee is £45, paid by bank transfer. You may have as many or as few sessions as you like, although it can be helpful to have two or three in the first instance to get a good idea of whether working with me is for you. The therapeutic relationship is key in counselling. If you don't feel there is a 'fit' with your counsellor, it's probable that someone else would suit you better.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
