MBACP, BSc (Hons) Psychology | Integrative Counsellor

About me

I'm an integrative therapist offering a compassionate space to explore and manage issues such as anxiety and depression, people pleasing, setting boundaries, low self-esteem, trauma, domestic abuse/violence, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, relationship problems, stress and burnout.

Together, we will work at your pace. We’ll find the right support and solutions for you. Life can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to help.

My approach is warm, practical, and completely centred around you. We’ll work together to understand what’s happening for you, explore what’s getting in the way and find ways to make lasting, positive change.

I offer psycho-education, this means I will help you to understand the “why” behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours so you can make meaningful and lasting changes.

During our sessions you’ll learn to let go of self-doubt, shame and that constant inner voice telling you you’re “not enough.” Together, we’ll help you break free from old habits, build healthier patterns, and discover what truly matters to you, so you can start living a life that feels calmer, more meaningful, and more you. Based in Lymm and Northwich, reach out today to take the first step toward peace and self-compassion.

In our sessions

Our sessions offer a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard - without judgement or overwhelm. I offer sessions face-to-face, online, or a blend of both if that suits you best. Some early morning and early evening appointments are available.

We’ll agree together on the frequency of sessions - weekly at first is often most helpful, but I also offer fortnightly, monthly, or ad-hoc sessions depending on your needs.

Next step

If you’re curious about counselling or wondering whether it’s right for you, I offer a free 15-minute discovery call. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure chat where we can talk about what you’re looking for, answer any questions, and see how we might work together.

If you’d like to find out more or arrange a call, please get in touch. I’d be happy to hear from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative)
  • Certificate in Couples Counselling
  • ILM qualified Coach
  • BSc (Hons) Psychology - 2:1
  • CPD Working with experiences of Domestic Abuse
  • CPD Polyvagal theory in practice

I also support parents of young people experiencing mental health challenges. Many share how distressing it can be to wait for the right help for their child. I offer a four-week course that provides a compassionate space to explore managing emotions, navigating difficult conversations, including around suicidal thoughts and self-harm - and process feelings of overwhelm, frustration, and worry. The aim is to help parents feel more confident, supported, and equipped to care for themselves and their families.

Alongside my private practice, I volunteer with community mental health services, offering one-to-one counselling for clients who have experienced childhood trauma or abuse, and those living with anxiety or depression. My work is trauma-informed, supporting each person to regain a sense of safety and move at a pace that feels right for them.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
