About me
I am a qualified Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor, which means that I am able to draw on different methods and approaches to find the way of working that is going to be most suitable for you (Integrative, Humanistic, Person Centred, Psychodynamic). I also draw on many years of experience in working with the mind-body connection through yoga, meditation and breathwork.
I am guided by the BACP Ethical Framework and continue to develop my Counselling Practice with regular Continued Professional Development, and Supervision as required by the BACP for its Registered Members.
Coming to Counselling or seeking help for the first time can be daunting and I understand how difficult it might have been for you to get to this point. The good news is, that you've taken the first step. People come to Counselling for many different reasons and this can be a time when you may be feeling at your most vulnerable.
I offer a warm, safe, confidential, space where you can explore whatever is troubling you without judgement. We can work together to help you navigate a way through your past or present challenges. Counselling provides a therapeutic environment where YOU are the sole focus. This may feel very different to relationships and interactions with friends or family.
I offer a free initial telephone consultation (approximately 20 minutes) where we can discuss your Counselling needs, goals and expectations. You'll be able to get a sense of who I am and how we might work together, with no pressure or obligation to continue if you don't feel that we're a good 'fit'. I work with Adults (over 18) in the United Kingdom. I work face to face and online in Buntingford, Hertfordshire.
What can I help you with?

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
