About me
You may be considering therapy because you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem or depression. Or maybe you feel stuck because of patterns that keep repeating - this might be patterns in your relationships with others, or with your relationship with yourself. Maybe your past - your childhood, or previous relationships - is affecting your present and you’d like to look at this.
I provide a calm and supportive space where you can take a breath, share your thoughts, and begin to untangle what feels confusing or heavy. I want to hear your unique story.
It’s a place to explore your experiences and find new ways of understanding yourself and your world. Talking to someone who listens deeply really can help! You can feel truly heard, without fear of judgment.
My approach is relaxed and informal. My aim is to collaborate with you to explore the issues that feel important to you. Ways we can do this might involve becoming more aware of what is happening in the present moment, being curious about what is happening in the relationship between us, or noticing body sensations - and responding with acceptance and kindness. All of this can help give new perspectives on familiar difficulties.
I offer a free 30-minute consultation so you can meet me, have a chat, ask questions and get an idea of how it might be to work with me. If together we decide it’s a good fit, we can agree to work short-term, or longer-term with regular reviews.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Alongside being a therapist, I also work as a researcher. I’m endlessly curious and love learning. My research is about parents’ health and well-being during pregnancy and the postnatal period. I’m drawn to understanding what truly helps during these big life shifts - like becoming a parent, or changes in midlife, but other life events as well - and how they shape the way we see ourselves and make sense of our lives.
Being of mixed heritage has made me really curious about how our backgrounds and identities shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us.
I’m inspired and supported by my long-standing Zen Buddhist meditation practice, and I’m interested in the role of spirituality and religion in our lives.
