About me
A warm welcome to my profile and well done on taking the first step towards your wellbeing by considering therapy. I understand this is hard for many and I'm happy that you are contemplating reaching out for support.
My name is Neha Dabir-Middleton and I'm a fully qualified and registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor, based in the UK. I would describe myself as a conscientious and intuitive practitioner with a BACP accredited Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy, a BPS accredited Masters in Psychological Studies and am currently pursuing another Postgraduate programme offering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and accredited by BABCP.
I am passionate about mental health and helping people on their journey to reach their full potential. I view mental health as a natural part of the human experience and firmly believe in not focusing on "what is wrong with you?" but am rather interested in understanding "what happened to you?" My therapy sessions enable you to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing in a safe, judgement free space. Whether you're feeling stuck, looking for direction, need to process a difficult event/s or simply want to have a better understanding of yourself and your emotions, I will be happy to support you through it all.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
Training, qualifications & experience
Keeping with my training and qualifications listed above, I offer a humanistic, trauma informed, integrative approach in my therapy practice and have experience of having delivered over a 1000+ sessions to Adults, Children and Young people facing varied mental health conditions, including but not limited to, Anxiety, Depression, low self-esteem, Bereavement and Grief, relationship issues, Perinatal mood disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm, Childhood abuse, Trauma and Domestic abuse, PTSD and C-PTSD, OCD, GAD and Health Anxiety.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

What to expect on our first contact?
First sessions are key in designing a clear, structured path towards your therapeutic journey and I place great importance on the initial assessment phase, ensuring you feel heard, seen and empowered right from the start.
I would use this session to prioritize understanding each individual’s unique life experiences, values, and goals to tailor therapeutic interventions that align with their needs. To me, clear communication and building trust are central in facilitating a therapeutic alliance that supports growth and fosters change.
