About me
Hello, I offer counselling to adults, children and young people who are seeking support in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space. Whatever has brought you here - whether it's something you can name clearly, or simply a sense that things don't feel quite right - I want you to know that reaching out can be one of the hardest steps, and I aim to make the process of finding the right support as approachable and unpressured as possible.
I believe the therapeutic relationship, built on trust, consistency, and genuine human connection, is at the heart of meaningful change. Therapy is not something that is simply done "to" a person - it is a collaborative, relational process, and the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most consistently powerful predictors of positive outcomes in counselling research. This is something I hold at the centre of my practice.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Diploma in Counselling and a Level 5 qualification in Counselling Children and Young People, and I am currently studying for an online Master's degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Bath Spa University. My training has been shaped not only by formal study, but by years of direct, hands-on experience working with people at very different stages of life - from young children navigating big feelings for the first time, to adults reflecting on decades of experience and looking to make sense of where they are now. These experiences has given me a grounded, flexible understanding of how people grow, struggle, and change, and it continues to inform how I show up in the therapy room.
Before training as a counsellor, I worked for a private equity firm. This gave me first-hand experience of the pressures of corporate life - long hours, tough deadlines, team dynamics, and office politics - and how these can affect an individual. I draw on this, and other areas of my life with family and friends, to support clients navigating the demands of modern life.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I offer a collaborative approach in which we explore together the meaning you make of your experiences, how these have affected your sense of who you are, and what values and ways of being are most important to you. Rather than positioning myself as an expert who diagnoses or directs, I see my role as a companion in your process of self-discovery - someone who can offer a different perspective, gentle challenge where it's helpful, and a steady, containing presence, while you remain the expert on your own life and experience. Together, we can look at the stories you tell about yourself, where they came from, and whether they still serve you, or whether there might be room for new, more compassionate ways of understanding who you are and what you need.
This collaborative way of working also means that the direction of our sessions is never something I decide alone. While I bring training, experience, and a therapeutic framework to our work together, you bring the lived reality of your own life, and it is this combination that shapes what we focus on and how we move through it. Some weeks this might mean sitting with something painful that has surfaced from the past; other weeks it might mean thinking through a present-day decision or difficulty. I try to remain responsive to what feels most alive and relevant for you in any given session, rather than following a fixed agenda, because I believe that therapy works best when it flexes around the person, not the other way around.

Further information
I have also worked in school at secondary level and other organisations in South West London, supporting individuals, families, children and young people. This work has given me the opportunity to sit alongside people during some of the most formative and, at times, most difficult periods of their lives - navigating friendships, family relationships, academic pressure, identity, and the enormous developmental changes that come with adolescence. Working within a school setting also gave me valuable insight into the wider systems that surround a young person: their family, their peer group, their teachers, and the broader pressures of modern adolescent life, including the added complexities that come from social media and constant connectivity.
