About me
I am a passionate, BACP registered counsellor, working online and face-to-face. I have experience working with clients with depression, generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, loss and bereavement, single parenting, relationship difficulties, spouse addiction, suicide ideation, eating disorders, personality disorders, separation and divorce. With close experience of people in the LGTBQIA+ community, from neurodivergent backgrounds and people with disabilities, I am passionate about working with adult clients from a diverse range of backgrounds. I hold the ethical framework at the core of my work, and work in a very boundaried and professional way.
I recognise that the counselling journey is often very challenging and emotional, and the experience can feel worse at first, before things improve. I will be here to listen to you, explore your issues and difficulties and above all support you on this journey. Once the therapeutic relationship has strengthened, I will also gently challenge views, perspectives, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I work in a very dynamic way, but I will ultimately be led by your story, narrative and agenda, holding a space to explore your life and experiences, and walking alongside you on this therapeutic journey.
I work as an integrative therapist specifically an assimilative approach, with Carl Rogers’ Person Centred Therapy as my core modality, drawing on elements of Psychodynamic theory, Gestalt therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis as fits my clients’ needs. I have over 250 hours’ of client work with 2 years experience working with a wide range of clients from a large demographic. I appreciate life’s challenges, with personal experience of depression, loss and bereavement and family with chronic illness, and I recognise life can be immensely challenging. My goal is to help support you the best I can therapeutically in a schedule and modality that suits you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at Morley College, Orpington College and Westmeria, up to Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
I have nearly 2 years’ counselling experience with a wide range of issues, with over 200 client hour experience both online and in-person.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I kindly ask that the session fee is paid on the day of the session, ideally before. I have a 24 hour cancellation policy - please let me know before this time otherwise the fee is payable, because it’s too short notice to give to another client. I will of course waive this in the event of a serious medical emergency for you or close family.
