About me

I am a London based psychoanalytic psychotherapist working in Broadway Market, E8  and Archway, N19. I also work online. Finding the right therapist for you can be challenging. I imagine you might have questions about how I work and if this type of therapy is right for you. to address that, I offer an initial free 15 minute phone.call. After that, if we want to proceed, we can have a couple of initial paid for sessions before deciding to go ahead on a longer term basis.

I'm interested in what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. We are all individuals with particular life experiences and I am here to listen in a confidential and non judgemental way to what it is you might be struggling with. I don't give advice, I try to help you make sense of the material you bring to your sessions and pick up on hidden unconscious patterns, internal beliefs and modes of behaviour that may no longer be helpful to you. You might be struggling with a loss, trauma, self sabotage, sexual problems, gender identity, disappointment, anxiety, the list is endless. Whatever it is I hope to be able to help you work through it.

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy offers a particular kind of space: unhurried, consistent, and attentive to what lies beneath the surface. It is not about quick fixes or symptom management. It is about understanding, how you came to be who you are, what are you carrying, and what change might become possible when those things are identified and brought into consciousness.

I work with you to help you understand yourself better.

Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, I was and still am an artist. My work revolved around the human condition which is what brought me to train as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. Psychotherapy is a creative process too, and I bring my creativity and nuanced ways of thinking to the therapy room and your sessions. Therapy is a collaboration, and a meeting of two minds. Saying things out loud, confidentially, to another person, and thinking about it together is not work one can do alone. I am here to listen and help you work out where the unwanted feelings and patterns of behaviour might have come from and work them through so that hopefully they can sit within you in a different less destructive way.

If you would like to make the first step into working with me, please get in touch.
