About me
Hello and thank you for your interest in my profile.
I'm Natalya, a warm and compassionate pluralistic therapist, registered with the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists).
I work with adults, children/young people. Currently I work in schools and the Youth Health Service (part of the NHS) as a counsellor.
I’m especially passionate about supporting people with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) and other premenstrual disorders. As a PMDD-informed therapist, I run support groups in Glasgow to help those affected feel understood and supported.
Alongside this special interest, I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. My work also covers self-esteem and body image concerns, eating disorders, neurodivergence, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), bereavement, loss, and bullying.
My Approach
I currently offer online and in-person therapy sessions. I offer sessions on a short-term or long-term basis.
Creating a safe space for you and building a relationship with you is at the heart of my practice. I aim to provide an empathic, non-judgemental approach where you will feel heard, valued, and accepted.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I work pluralistically, which allows me to collaborate with you and use a variety of theoretical models, which may suit you best at particular times. This allows us to tailor the counselling towards your specific goals.
Sessions will last 50 minutes. In-person sessions take place in Glasgow city centre.
Online sessions will take place over Microsoft Teams. To ensure a smooth session, it would be best to use a computer/laptop, and you will also need a stable internet connection. Additionally, having a confidential space where you cannot be overheard is important.
