About me
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is the most important part of counselling.
Seeking help can be daunting so it is important to me that you feel welcome and comfortable. I have a warm approach, offering acceptance and empathy in a safe, non-judgemental space in which you can feel supported and heard.
If you are finding life overwhelming or if you're experiencing the breakdown of a relationship, a bereavement, feeling anxious or depressed or just want to talk to someone who won’t judge, I believe I can help.
Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and help to make sense of what you are feeling, so that you may be able to lead a more authentic and happier life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited member of the BACP with over 7 years of experience. I have a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and trained as an integrative counsellor. This means I use various models of therapy so each session can be tailored to suit your individual needs.
I also work part time within an NHS Talking Therapies service
- I have training in Trauma Informed Practice

I have experience in working with Anxiety, Depression, Domestic Abuse, Low self-esteem, Relationship issues, Bereavement, including baby loss and Trauma
During my initial training, I completed a placement at a hospice, and continued to volunteer there after qualifying. I experienced supporting those bereaved as well as those facing end of life.
Before training as a counsellor, I was a befriender for the charity SANDS, which supported those who had lost a baby during or just after pregnancy. I offered one to one support as well as facilitating support groups.
I have experience of supporting women in abusive relationships and have worked in a women's refuge providing counselling services for those who had fled an abusive relationship as well as those still in the community.
I have previously worked in a Suicide Bereavement Service as a bereavement counsellor, supporting those bereaved by suicide or who have witnessed a suicide.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
