About me
Hey! I’m Naomi, an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I offer a warm, safe and compassionate space where you can explore what’s happening in your life at your own pace and without judgment. Whether you know exactly what you're after or have no idea and you just know you need extra support I am here to help you slow down and process what you are feeling and begin to look forward and understand yourself.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw from different therapeutic models to create a tailored and personalised therapeutic experience. There’s no one-size-fits-all in therapy and together, we can find what feels right for you.
I’ve worked with clients facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety and depression, but my particular focus is on trauma and low self-esteem. I’m passionate about helping clients rebuild a sense of trust in themselves and in life, and to move towards greater confidence and self-acceptance. I have experience working with neurodivergent clients such as those with ADHD and ASD and understand the need for creating a safe and gentle space for neurodivergent clients who are on their therapeutic journey.
Therapy can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to do it alone. I believe in the power of connection and how being heard, understood, and supported can bring real change. My role is to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences and find your own way forward.
I offer a free 30 minute consultation call to discuss how we can work together and best support you in this stage of your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Masters degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have an Undergraduate degree in counselling and psychotherapy and I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
I have experience working in a variety of settings including domestic violence charities, unemployment support charity and the local authority.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
