About me
My approach to psychotherapy considers the whole person within their life context. It is about building relationships, raising awareness and offering an individual new choices. You can develop skills to reflect on your situation and make sense of your life. You can learn to understand more about experiences and events that had seemed overwhelming or upsetting. These events are not forgotten; they are not removed, mended or eliminated, instead they become part of who you want to become. Together, with my support, you can make choices that help you to improve your emotional well-being and life situation. I aim to:
- Build a trusting relationship
- Offer a safe and confidential space
- Facilitate increased awareness
- Support change and progress.
I offer 1-hour sessions at an interval to be agreed with you. This would usually be weekly. I can work with individuals and couples.
I consider that supervision is a vital strand of support and professional development for all us working in a role with other people. I consider the supervisee to be a colleague. I offer a safe space where you can have an opportunity to reflect on your work and gain greater understanding of yourself and the relationships with those with whom you work. The purpose is to support you and enable you to continue in often challenging roles and make a difference in your work. I take a holistic, respectful approach and use the relationship between us to support you in your reflections and professional development. The process involves, reflective practice, case consultation, personal support, ethical consideration and personal validation.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

As an educational psychologist I have studied and worked with neurodiversity, both autism, ASD, ADHD and dyslexia. I understand that these ways of being can be challenging for individuals within the neurotypical world and are often linked to mental health concerns.
