About me

Hello, my name is Nalan, and I believe that counselling helps my clients to process difficult and challenging thoughts or feelings which can be painful, and additionally by focusing on developing the unique potential of each client.

My approach is integrative, drawing upon the person centred approach to help clients explore present experiences, thoughts and feelings combined with a psychodynamic approach to gain insight from my client’s past experiences, relational patterns thoughts and behaviours that maybe influencing their present world. I also offer CBT alone or to compliment the above approaches.

My aim is to help my clients understand and manage their relationships in a healthier way, always adapting my approach to best suit my client needs. I also work to identify and strengthen my client’s inner resources in order to enable them to live a fuller, more satisfying life.

Currently, I provide a safe space on zoom to allow my clients to confidentially share their issues, in the knowledge that they will be fully heard and understood in an empathic manner. Please get in touch with any questions.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
