About me
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, specialising in an integrative approach drawing on; Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Existential theory. I believe that everyone is different, and their issues need different considerations.
I have worked in various settings from The Place2be, Wandsworth Carers Centre and The Royal Trinity Hospice -- offering counselling on a short and long-term basis. I have experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds, cultures and religions. Some of the issues I have dealt with are; Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, survivors of trauma, Bereavement, Attachment Disorders and sexual identity.
How counselling can help.....
People choose therapy for many different reasons, and it's important that you are clear on what your reasons are. But for whichever reason you find, therapy provides a confidential space to explore thoughts and emotions that may be troubling you.
In a warm and non-judgmental environment, we will explore what you know about your situation, and bring greater awareness to other areas that may not have been considered before.
What to expect.....
I strongly advise on an initial meeting, so that we can meet and discuss if and how I could help you. I appreciate that deciding to start therapy is a big step, therefore there is never any contractual agreement during the initial consultation. If from that meeting we decide to begin therapy, sessions will take place on a weekly basis at the same time and day to maintain a good counselling structure. However, I understand that life can bring on unforeseen circumstances, which I will always try to accommodate for.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
