About me
*REFURBISHED, SPACIOUS CENTRAL DURHAM THERAPY SUITE AVAILABLE TO RENT - PLEASE EMAIL IF INTERESTED*
Feeling anxious, depressed or stressed? Looking for a therapist right in the heart of Durham City?
You may be asking yourself how you know which counsellor or therapist to work with and what kind of therapy you actually need.
I understand that embarking on therapy can be a confusing process so I am here to help guide you. Working both online and in person, I am a highly experienced psychotherapist and counsellor. I work with clients experiencing a wide range of issues and as a qualified integrative therapist, I have lots of tools and techniques at my finger-tips. This enables me to create a flexible and individually blended therapy plan, recognising that no two people or their issues are the same.
So whether you are a working professional or a student here in Durham, I can help guide you on your therapy journey to find relief from the issues that you are facing. I also have a gently attuned labrador dog called Bruce who usually sits with me and my clients in the therapy room. Whilst not a necessity by any means, his presence is found to be relaxing and empowering for clients.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
